Lufthansa To Halt Fuel, Security Refunds For Unused Nonrefundables
March 18, 2010 - Lufthansa confirmed to EuroBTN yesterday that as of March 1 it no longer refunds fuel and security surcharges on unused nonrefundable tickets. Although the new rule applies worldwide, it only has been announced in German-speaking countries. The German travel managers association VDR has condemned the rule change, while travel management companies said it would increase their operational costs. Read More>>

AirPlus Inks Pact For Conferma Bill-Backs
March 18, 2010 - AirPlus International has become the latest payment services provider to sign a partnership with Conferma, a United Kingdom-based company that offers an automated solution for direct hotel billing, better known as bill-back. The two companies announced today an end-of-April launch of the AirPlus Conferma Hotel Settlement Solution to AirPlus U.K. customers.
